A middle school teacher in Oregon who announced his intention "to dismantle and demolish the Tea Party" on his "Crash the Tea Party" Web site is under investigation by his state's Teacher Standards & Practices Commission.
The investigation by Oregon's teacher licensing agency comes in response to a public outcry over Jason Levin's public statements that he'll do anything short of throwing rocks to bring down the Tea Party.
Levin, the media teacher at Conestoga Middle School in Beaverton, is the leader of a group that says it wants to infiltrate and bring down the loosely organized anti-big-government Tea Party movement.
He has said he would seek to embarrass Tea Partiers by attending their rallies dressed as Adolf Hitler, carrying signs bearing racist, sexist and anti-gay epithets, and acting as offensively as possible — anything short of throwing punches.

It’s hard to imagine an Oregon teacher panel having anything but admiration for this guy.
Conestoga Middle School is committed to instilling an appreciation of self, a respect for others, and a love of learning in young adolescents. Our students, families, and staff believe this commitment can best be met in a supportive environment which fosters successful and challenging learning experiences and responsible attitudes towards self, others, and society. Our school will prepare students to be contributing members of local and global communities.
It is going to backfire—and that could be the purpose.

I bet he’s a fun guy to have to deal with on an adult level if one’s kid is in his class. I’m sure he is forthright, honest and plays no favorites with his educational content nor his grading and attention to students.

If it is affiliated with the NEA, they will probably recommend a raise and promotion.
Even teachers in Oregon are sensitive to the fact that taxpayers don’t like to see public resources being used for political purposes...no matter which side is being helped. This Jason guy is free to pull whatever stunts he wants, short of committing crimes, because it’s protected speech. He is not free to use school equipment to do it, and that’s what this business is about.
If I were using copiers at work to produce political fliers, or I used my work email account to write spam, I’d be sacked. And rightfully so.
We’ve seen this sort of stuff before. Somebody will engage in a major email campaign to smear FR, and when Jim or John Robinson track the culprit to some .edu address, it gets stopped.
Maybe he is a true NAZI in deep cover using this as his means to do what he really wants to do.
