I thought that other similar suits were dealt with by rescinding the orders to deploy. Maybe this will eventually happen here also.

Only if they are relevant for defending himself against the charges that have been filed. From what I've heard he's been charged with missing movement and conduct unbecoming an officer. Hard to see where Obama enters into either of those.

He will have a chance to make his case in a court martial. Obama won't be the defendant there.

One was, but that was a reservist who had volunteered to go. Filing suit was taken as evidence he had un-volunteered. An Army Captain named Connie Rhodes filed suit to prevent from being deployed. Her suit was tossed and she wound up in Iraq anyway.
