If Ron Paul is the best we can do, we’re in worse shape than I thought.
I think Republicans should not just laugh this off. During the whole economic collapse with the out of control spending and broken state budgets and irresponsible growth of big government under both parties a new appreciation for founding principles and basic libertarian conservatism. This doesn’t mean that most people would go along with Paul’s protectionism and blame America first attitude but they do go along with his ideas on the role of government and limited government and the truth is he stands fairly alone as the one stalwart who actually fearlessly talks about the need to cut spending and cut government programs. Republicans are still slow on the uptake. It isn’t just people want lower taxes, people are willing in poll after poll to accept and even desire less government. I know their is an entitlement class but the truth is the majority of people are ready and waiting for America to be restored. Those that dismiss Ron Paul as a nut do so to their own detriment. Paul offers something that America wants and the reason he does so well against Obama is because he is a clear contrast and the closest thing to a polar opposite as you can get. The only thing that has held Paul back is his stance on national security otherwise he offers a clear path to restoration of liberty in this nation. I wish more Republicans really believed even a tenth of what they say about smaller government. Paul clearly does and though I don’t think he will win the nomination he will continue to be a force and has did a lot to bring a new crop of young people into the party. That his ideas of liberty appeal to the young should be noted. Sarah Palin appeals in much the same way. The future will be shaped by those who boldly and without hesitation lift up their cause and cast it into a populist army be it the cause of liberty or the cause of tyranny in the guise of entitlements, taxes, and political correctness is the choice but the wavering unconvincing second guessing voices will not win the day.
this is to attack the tea party today.
kook paul is doa no matter how you slice it. We now have MSM flack attacks.
We are right on point so the MSM (and kook paul) are putting out this nonsense.
LOL. Ron Paul will be 77 in 2012. He’s too darned old.
Neither one of these would ever get my vote. No on Ron Paul!
If those were our choices- we would be doomed.
Luckily- Ron Paul will not get the nomination.
2012 bump for later..............
Kittie alert!
Just an anybody but Obama response.
There was a poll by CNN a couple of weeks ago that showed an unnamed Republican was tied with Obama.
In a CNN poll out yesterday, Hillary has a more favorable rating than Obama does (61/57)
Today Obama and “BushHitler” are virtually tied (48/46)
This poll is more a NO to Obama than yes to Paul.
I’m all for a strong military...on the Mexican Border....but not facilitating Ragheads oil drilling....
You mindlessly regurgitate his dogmas with no notion at all of the facts without even a shred of reason being allowed to penetrate your comfortable little emotion based political bubble world. Like Dr Paul, you are a completely ignorant, arrogant, child so convinced of the infallibility of your emotion based political dogmas that you spend all your ranting and raving on topics you know clearly know nothing at all about.
When confronted with the facts that explode your comfortable little bubble world dogmas, you reaction is to put your hands over your ears and start screaming your slogans louder rather then bother to learn a single fact.
You conduct on this thread mirrors that of you god Dr Paul, Simple ignore all fact to scream your slogans louder.
That is why your god Dr Paul will never be anything more then a fringe kook Congresscritter from Texas.
Troll Gone. No other info.
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my Viking Kitty/ZOT ping list!. . . don't be shy.
There have been a lot of zots lately. Has there been an increase in sun spots?
America’s Crazy Uncle does have some good points regarding domestic policy, I’ll grant him that. His foreign policy, however, ranges between naive and suicidal.
What really turned me off about Paul was that he basically sold his 2008 Presidential campaign over to the violently anti-war anti-Bush Truther left. You can’t tell me that thousands of college students were flocking to become Paulestinians because of his views on the gold standard, right?

If they conducted a telephone poll of who the respondents would vote for in 2012, Obama would likely find himself in a tie or behind a candidate named, “Random name picked from random phonebook.” IOW, nothing to get exicted over, Ronulans. IATZ.
