Maybe a little more cash outlay would have put Palin in first place among the voters? Who knows but it would have been bragging rights.

Before Sarah’s electrifying speech Friday,
which can be seen here, staff was placing
a package of the tasty treats on each attendee’s seat.

I’m a Paul supporter, and many here have much bad to say about him. Kook, whatever else. I believe in a smaller government and Ron Paul has always voted for a smaller federal government. Ron Paul is a Traditional Conservative.

Your comment though, is probably closest to the truth.

Against endless wars in the middle east makes you a kook - false. We lost in 2008 because of Iraq.

Ron Paul will be 76 or so in 2012 - true. And that is pretty old. It’s not gonna help.

We lost because CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, The major press
all pushing Obama 24/7. this was his own campaign propaganda machine
Not to mention generations of voters out of Left Wing Public Schols and Marxist Universities.

along with those who sat at home election day or voted 3rd party

all the above gave Obama the win.

the president takes “care of corporations and corporations take over and run the country.”

What a load of s***. He isn't 'taking care of corporations', he is undermining them every step of the way then when the get too weak, he takes them over.

Yeah, no need for me to try and think myself into a corner on this one. That is one of the disadvantages to being able to make one click and send out anything you think on the Internet, many times a person (especially someone like me) needs more time to simply think it over. I often post something thinking I have built a solid foundation for what I think, and end up changing my mind completely as the days go on and I discuss what I posted with others I know.

I agree who resides over the next Presidential term is far too important for people to be worried about many of the issues I grew up hearing about all the time. Maybe I have to ask myself I am somewhat of relic?

I was a kid when Reagan was elected and resided during his two terms, and I had my dad try to explain Reaganomics to me when I was eight. After that there was Bush Sr., wasn’t really satisfied or particularly dissatisfied with him. Inevitably, the Clintons came along and brought with them all the things the media wanted everyone to believe packaged in a way the media could not resist to try and sell. After that was Bush Jr., who didn’t really put conservatism into practice, but was probably only elected to make sure we would be spared the antics of the Democratic party.

So, there is probably some spring cleaning to do inside the mental artillery before I start thinking about what’s going to come out from the campaigns this election year.

Well, Mitt can win all the straw polls he wants, straw polls don't determine elections. Just ask Ron Paul. He was the winner of the recent CPAC straw poll, but he never came close to winning a GOP primary.

I doubt Ron Paul cares. He has lots of money left over from 2008. He’s probably not running, and he probably figures he wouldn’t win if he did. His organization probably doesn’t have the detailed records. What I heard was that 40 Ron Paul votes didn’t get the memo that they had to register by 1pm today. I would assume that the person who was in charge of telling everyone that they had to be there by 1pm doesn’t exist. Back in 2008 there was a big gap between Ron Paul / the official campaign and the grassroots supporters. The official campaign was small and unprepared for a large number of passionate supporters with unorthodox political campaigning ideas. The grassroots did not really like the official campaign too much and did pretty much what they wanted.

Lots of Ron Paul supporters were up in New Hampshire volunteering for Ron Paul, but for a parallel organization which had nothing to do with the official campaign organization. It appeared to be a gigantic waste of time.

This time around, it seems to be better. The campaign seems to be taking the initiative and is doing things that use the participation of volunteers. They’re doing well, with a win and a tie in the last 2 straw polls.

If he does announce that he’s running, a lot of the people who aren’t paying attention and supported him in 2008 will get back onboard immediately. A large amount of money would come in, and he would do even better in these straw polls.

Comment from a lady at C4P who was in New Orleans for Sarah's speech:
I sat next to one lady in her 70's (unlike the Gov. this nurse dose not do heels well). She drove 2 hrs to see Sarah but did not have enough money to pay. I offered, she declined and said "I just want to get a glimpse of her in person". I thought about that all the way home. Money can not buy that type of dedication.

If Mitt Romney gets the nomination, I’ll guarantee... with a cash deposit... that Obama wins re-election. You can’t run against Obamacare when you enacted it first.

Ron Paul does Less Government, More Freedom better than anybody.

Maybe some “Conservatives” want more government.

Nobody spends their money on politics like that without expecting a return on that investment, least of all a guy like Ron Paul, who is not exactly know for throwing money away.

And he’s winning these things. Tied this one, won the last one.

What does it say that the “viable” candidates can’t beat Ron Paul?

Either Ron Paul is stronger than you think, or the other candidates are weaker than you think, or both.
