Aircraft carriers aside, a Dock Landing Ship is a pretty big target to be going after. Secondly, there are plenty of Marines embarked who are just itching to get some trigger time.

The skinnies had a solid plan here. “Look, it’s the amphibious warfare branch of the USN,,,in a ship that usually carries a few hundred marines that have been abused for months,,,, i have an idea, lets shoot it up bro”.

Our response should be immediate annihilation of the vessel & occupants. No questions asked.

Our Navy is too darn nice. Another country wouldn’t have bothered to pull pirates out of the water, but leave them to their fate.

It simply amazes me that the Navy has to keep rescuing these scum, and letting them go. What a worthless president we have.

The Navy ship returned fire with its 25mm gun, catching the skiff on fire, the Navy said. Correct respnse.
The crew abandoned the vessel, and the Navy rescued the men from the water.
Wrong answer, they should have left as JAWs Jumbo.

Here's video of a 25mm deck gun sinking a boat. I would hate to be on the receiving end. Yikes.
