The best to you!
Truth to tell, I would rather watch Ursula Andress sing “Underneath the Mango Tree, My Honey” but your post was appreciated ;-)
Well .. that too!!
“Truth to tell, I would rather watch Ursula Andress sing Underneath the Mango Tree, My Honey but your post was appreciated ;-)”
LOL!!!
McCain has so bastardized our language that it’s very difficult to tell what he means...he likes confusion.
His website says he’s against AMNESTY...but...
FactCheck: Yes, he has used the word amnesty in the past
While debating whether McCain supported amnesty, Romney said, I dont describe your plan as amnesty in my ad. McCain denied ever favoring amnesty, saying, Let me just say Ive never supported amnesty.
McCain is right when he says that his bill required penalties to be paid by illegals trying to adjust their status, while dictionaries define amnesty as a pardon. But he himself has in the past used the a word to describe what he had in mind:
* May 29, 2003 interview: Amnesty has to be an important part because there are people who have lived in this country for 20, 30 or 40 years, who have raised children here and pay taxes here and are not citizens.
* Dec. 15, 2000 press release: I support the Latino and Immigrant Fairness Act (LIFA). Negotiations between the White House and the leadership, which endorsed more limited immigration reform, have resulted in a compromise.... this bill makes meaningful but insufficient progress on amnesty for those wrongly denied it.
Q [to Tancredo]: Do you think that Sen. McCain is soft on immigration?
TANCREDO: I do. He sponsored a bill that would have given amnesty to everybody whos here illegally. It would have required us to actually consult with Mexico as to whether or not we would build the fence along our southern border. If we pursue this path toward amnesty, its a disaster for the country.
McCAIN: I have never supported amnesty and never would. But the American people expect us to sit down and work this issue out together. Thats what Ive been doing for a couple of years now. We are very close to an agreement, led by our president and his Cabinet, that will first secure our borders. Then we would have a temporary worker program that could only be valid through a tamper-proof biometric document. And then we would address the issue of the 12 million people who are already here.
ROMNEY: The key part of what I objected to in McCain-Kennedy is that they should not get any advantage by having come here illegally.

1988: Honored by La Raza for opposing official English
McCain attacked Proposition 106, a statewide referendum that was being advanced by the so-called English-only movement. McCain told the teachers, Why would we want to pass some kind of initiative that a significant portion of our population considers an assault on their heritage?
Because of his position on the English-only initiative and his willingness to fight for a pluralistic American culture, McCain was one of 10 members of congress who were honored by the National Council of La Raza, a nationwide coalition of Hispanic organizations. In a speech at a ceremony in Washington, before an audience of 500, McCain again attacked English-only initiatives. The building of our great nation is not the work of immigrants from one or two countries, McCain said, Our nation and the English language have done quite well with Chinese spoken in California, German in Pennsylvania, Italian in New York, Swedish in Minnesota, and Spanish throughout the Southwest. I fail to see the cause for alarm now.

More help for legal immigrants when immigrating & once here
* McCain supports the following principles regarding immigration: Increase the eligibility of legal immigrants for certain social programs
* Provide extra federal aid to states with higher numbers of immigrants for necessary medical and social services
* Prohibit states from passing laws that deny human services to illegal immigrants or their children
* Increase the immigration quota for computer scientists and other information technology workers.

McCain will favor the fence between now and the election.
No more, no less.
McCain is all over the place on policy like a drunk is all over the sidewalk on his way home from a bar.
You are taking thread after thread off topic, that is rude behavior, and you appear to be stalking rab. If you don't like his threads, don't click on them.
You keep hounding from thread to thread about Ron Paul. Rabs may be a Paul supporter (I don't know) but the threads he posts have NOTHING to do with Ron Paul, they have to do with McCain.
They have NOTHING to do with McCain.
They have only to do with providing fodder for attacking any Republican who supports his candidacy in any way.
Politicians in both parties favor incumbents. It's why you saw Rick Santorum, a solid conservative, supporting Arlen Specter when he was a Republican, for example.
rabscuttle385 has posted the abbreviated obscenity "FUSP!" in response to Sarah Palin's support for her former presidential running mate.
For rabs this isn't about defeating McCain. It's about defeating Republicans.
I've been posting on this forum almost every day since April 1998, nobody would ever be dumb enough to suggest I was a Ron Paul supporter (except, apprently, you). The forum has always had rules about stalking from thread to thread and against thread hijacking. I guess you don't follow the rules.
Making snide remarks about me doesn't win your arguements. If you are not strong enough intellectually to forward your arguements without making childish accusations you might want to look for a teen board where your type of behavior is acceptable.
uh, nevermind ... the boss just walked in.
Then why would I be solidly backing J.D. Hayworth, a Republican?
Since you've been here since April of 1998 you should know that incessant anti-McCain posts are overkill since no one posting on Free Republic is a McCain supporter, and since they're 95% of rabscuttle385's posting output they should at least raise a red flag.
If you don't see rabs' modus operandi here (undermining Palin's support at FR) you're either not paying attention or you're complicit in the kind of divisions TRAULLs attempt to stir up among conservatives on this board.
Since you've taken sides with the Paul supporter...the Chuck Baldwin voter...the anti-war college boy...then you're fair game for any real conservative.
Oh, and in case you didn't know it, there ARE McCain supporters on this board, not very popular, but they are here and always have been. Just like the black helicopter crowd, if you can't appreciate other peoples ideas and thoughts you're in the wrong place. In case you didn't notice, this is America, where everyone gets to speak their minds, you might not like it, you might not agree with it, and you have two choices. Make a better arguement, or don't click on the thread. Attacking others for expressing opinions is a third world tactic.
Why does any anti-Republican support Republican primary challengers down double digits in the polls?
I do not know one Texan who wants the fence...McCain can have our share of the fence...
You're an idiot if you actually believe the polls run by the Daily Kooks.
McCain is a disgrace.
You do realize that I've been graduated for quite some time now, don't you, Chunga?
