“That is what they did, it was NOT in the actual papers on that day. Now to prove who did it and when.”
The first I heard about the newspaper announcements was on a blog site I believe called “Texas Darling.”
If I remember correctly, before the elections, some woman posted in the comments section that she went to the library and got the microfish information first hand from the librarian. She was so sorry to inform everybody that his birth was listed there.

...the clipping comes from the archives at the State Library in Honolulu. Its on microfiche, and anyone who lives in Hawaii could go there and pull it themselves. Interestingly, I was the first person to request that search...

...What you know is that Texas Darlin has received an email forwarded from the Hawaii State Library that is a a clipping from the Honolulu Advertisers Sunday August 13th, 1961 edition that proves the Department of Vital Records provided a list of births for the previous week that included Barack Obama thats what you know.
Youre not taking my word for it. Youre taking TDs word for it. I have given her the name and number of the librarian I spoke with and she has the forwarded email. You, yourself, are free to call either Vital Records or the Honolulu Advertiser and ask questions about how birth certificates and birth announcements were handled in 1961...
(Searching for the origin of the birth announcement - seems that Lori maintains there is an original on microfiche...but the announcement itself was received by E-MAIL!)

Heres a comment on Atlas Shrugs from Infidel Granny, reminding Pamela just where the birth announcement came from. It was a scan, e-mailed to her.
Pamela,
Infidel Granny here. I am the woman who sent you the birth announcement from the Honolulu Advertiser in July 2008. You gave me a hat tip on July 23, 2008.
I sure hope you dont think I had anything to do with a forgery.
The woman I spoke to at the Advertiser suggested I contact the Hawaii State Librbary for the info. Thats where I got it from just as it states in the blog on July 23. The librarian stated another woman had asked for the same thing about one week before I did.
You might still have my email and phone number. Feel free to contact me if you like.
Don’t believe everything you hear.
Microfiche and microfilm are two different animals.
