Being on a ship certainly makes more sense than a single mother with a days-old baby boarding a plane in 1963.
That's been my trouble with the born-in-Kenya story from day one....how did baby Barry get to Hawaii? They just didn't let newborns fly in 1963.
Wonder if maybe the ship was going from Kenya to Seattle, with a stopover in Hawaii? We know SAD was in Seattle just a few weeks after Barry's birth...and interestingly she didn't know how to change the baby's diapers. Odd, you'd think she'd have that figured out within a couple days.
Wonder if anybody's done any searching on ship's manifests from Mombasa to Hawaii or Seattle around that timeframe. I don't know how long they keep manifests, though...A FOIA request through US Customs might shed some light.

check out BLACK STAR LINE, no manifests, no records, ships scrapped.

We don’t KNOW that. We KNOW that is what was said. Anyone can say anything, it doesn’t make it a fact.
