I’m surprised how often I hear that line, Red. “I have a gun and ammo. That’s all the preparedness I need.” How idiotic. Do people like that really think the rest of us are just going to sit there and let them kill us and our families and then steal everything we’ve worked hard to store and grow??? If so, they haven’t met my husband.

Then again the poster may have just been thinking about hunting for their food rather than stockpiling.

That is exactly what they meant, although you can’t bag a pound of sugar, a case of pasta, or a can of baked beans with your 30-30.

I have hunted and fished all my life. the things I am putting away are the things that: A) I will need to provide the energy I need to hunt, and; B) I cannot grow or harvest from the land.
