Friedersdorf says that Palin simply may not be the conservative her steadfast supporters think she is. She may, in fact, be a John McCain Republican. This would mean that she is liberal on some issues, moderate on others, and conservative about a few things.

Sarah is a politician who is enjoying her moment in the sun and making money for her family while the gettin’s good. Most of all Sarah is loyal to Sarah. Once 2012 is over if she is not the GOP candidate or if she is and gets soundly defeated her 15 minutes are up. Right now she is a media star the Right likes her the Left hates her but nobody can stop talking about her. I don’t blame her for going for the gold while it is there to be had.

It’s simple, while Palin is supporting McCain, the ex McCain staffers keep their mouths shut about Palin. They are not going to trash someone important to McCain’s re-election. When the 2012 election is over, the back story from the 2010 will have diminished in impact and the ex McCain staffers will be toothless.

Note the number of negative stories originating form ex staffers circulation prior to her commitment to the McCain campaign and the lack of stories since. Practical is as practical does.

You may feel victorious in your constant bashing of Sarah Palin but in reality you are really hurting FR.

I'm not alone in withholding funds from a conservative site that allows the pro Ron Paul posters to bash the most popular representative of conservative ideals on a constant basis.

You certainly have a right to your freedom of speech, but I have control over my pocketbook.

I don’t blame Sarah for making much money as she can from the vast public interest in her. But there is one scenario that I hope is not playing out, and that is one where her financial and management consultant types have advised her that she can maximize her earnings by remaining a possible presidential candidate, but that she actually has no intention of running for president, but is just maximizing her earnings by being politically active and leaving that big question unanswered as long as possible.

There is a significant number who don’t think she intends to run.

Hit piece after hit piece on Sarah! Everyone has an opinion and an agenda.

Meanwhile back at our House, a commie is actively destroying our country. These authors are doing NOTHING about that - until such time, they are a waste of time and I call them chickens*^t!

Her support for McCain's reelection sucks.
Quite a few of her supporters here at FR are utter lunatics.
Sarah Palin though remains head & shoulders above all other potential presidential candidates, whether in the GOP, or any other party on the Right - with the exception of Mike Pence, whom she is a veritable poltical clone of.

Continetti notes that since being thrust into the national limelight, Palin has “become incredibly rich.” It may be — and this is me speaking, not Continetti — that because of her newfound riches, Palin feels an understandable debt, literally and figuratively, to Sen. McCain.

FGS! You are really a piece of work, rabscuttle385. Your hatred of Sarah Palin is out of control.

That asshat writer of this hit piece needs both a shrink and a clue.

Define "incredibly rich" - he didn't.

One year of making money doesn't mean she's "incredibly rich."

He neglects to show where or how, "her lifestyle has changed."

He neglects to show that she is motivated by money.

Sarah wrote a book and it became a best seller! GOOD on her and GOOD for her, but again, it was Sarah's success, just like every success in her life.

Sarah is a self-made successful woman of many accomplishments. From her degree in journalism to the governorship of Alaska, she'ds always made her own way.

John McCain brought her to the national stage, and they became close friends. She likes and admires him. Tough for you, and tough for us who want him out of the senate, but Sarah is not on the Arizona ballot: McCain *is*.

If Sarah's endorsement and campaign ads were all that were needed to win races, then all we'd need is to have Sarah make campaign ads for all the races!!!

You will ALWAYS be know as a MSM pawn and thus, firmly planted under the NOT CREDIBLE list.

YOU are NO BETTER than McCain!

MSM is on the side of Obama and so are YOU.

You are absolutely correct. We must now organize a campaign to “out” those who associate with the socialist, Soros-backed former Alaska Governor. Let’s start with Michele Bachmann. (/sarc)

Honestly, this guy has a great point.

Sarah hasn’t said where she is a a huge variety of topics.

We know where Michele Bachmann stands, though, on a great many issues. Thanks Michelle!

And for Sarah, you’d better decide what you are before endorsing another Rand Paul or John McCain, or you’ll lose some of that great goodwill given to you by myself and others.

Thanks.

Perhaps Palin is not just looking to pay a debt, perhaps she is getting McCain to owe a debt.

Whatever Palin’s future will be, McCain is not just a bit nutty he is dangerous. He did untold damage to Bush’s agenda and has the power to do massive damage to anything Palin supports.

I have more respect for Palin by not throwing McCain under the bus like Obama did to his own Grandmother...

That is a sign of a Loyal and Honorable person...In today's political environment that is rare.

Has anyone actually bothered to PUT the question to Sarah? About whether she sees this campaign partnership with McCain ending with either his primary loss or the November elections whichever comes sooner?

Her Facebook communiques show a side of her that is clearly more conservative than McCain’s.
