What kind of dog is Larsen?

He has an amazing face...

Larsen is a Belgian Tervuren. The same family as Misty, our Belgian Sheepdog, except Misty is the all black coloration. Larsen is very intelligent and a fierce protector of our home. We have black bears around for half of the year and he goes after them without hesitation. He should have a jacket with the number 3 on it.

Here is Larsen, our brave bear chasing dog taking some leisure time on his couch. He does not sit on ours and we don't sit on his, he has his own couch. He is named after the Jack London character from "The Sea Wolf" Wolf Larsen. Belgian Tervuren is the breed. He has encountered black bears up to about 350 lbs, but we have so many bears I have lost count of how many he has faced in his 4 years with us. Larsen has never lost an encounter, but I back up with a rifle, shotgun or sometimes just a pistol just in case!
