if by "entitlements" you include govt pensions, then by all means...chop away....
but folks....people with nice fat govt pensions have to realize that most Americans do not have defined pensions and will rely on SS....after working til age 62 or older, its not asking too much...

I have nothing but the 401k I have been funding for 30 years. No white knight coming to the rescue. I will be funding those government pensions from my 401k savings as they are taxed upon withdrawal. Retire? Fat chance. I expect to go as some of my colleagues have gone...expiring with a calendar full of appointments and endless tasks. My employer should expect to see me running at 100% and plan for how to parcel out my tasks the day my expiration is announced.
