I miss him sooo much....so very, very much. I think all of us here do. It was like we were family, you know? We watched what he did every day, we prayed for him and his family, and I laugh remembering how we worried for him, when he and Laura were separated because of some function or another....and so happy when they were home safe, and together. He was a fine Patriot.
I wonder if I could still write. Do you suppose it's too late? (Like about a YEAR???)
So very angry, so unable to discern good from bad.
I don't know how you live that way.......I mean if you hate our President, who in the world do you respect?
I'm guessing no one. Angry at the world or something....
I missed that altogether. Must have been in lala land.......or Minnesota. ;)
Oh, NordP! I teared up reading your words too. Beautiful, and as true as words can ever be!
I think you meant....or Iowa :-)
Thanks!
Ordered my copy of Laura’s book today from Amazon—scheduled to be shipped May 10. Hopefully it will be sent out sooner. What a breath of fresh air and grace it will be after Michelle’s antics and wardrobe.
I DID...I DID!!!
I saw --
Subject: President Bush
And let out a YES!
What a wonderful man, President, leader and great American. How nice that he would take the time to compose that letter for us. He had to know we were in need of encouragement by now.
Yes...I think you are on to something! America needs US now...and we can really use HIS support. GREAT point! How nice of him. He is one special person.
Yes he is!
So glad you got one, NordP! :) Your words to him are lovely...and make me teary too. Big sigh.
He probably needs a little encouragement too---maybe he went back and read some of the emails. Can you imagine what it is like for him to know so much more of the details of world/nation events and see how the current occupants is messing everything up? It must be difficult.
I can’t believe that you two missed that-—so very odd. I know you both did other things to thank him so perhaps you decided against it—or just ran out of time. Anyway, I think he and Laura both know that you you love them. :)
I never thought of that...you could be right, dmd. It would certainly make sense, what with the current state of affairs. After 8 years of his watchful eye over this country and her citizens, now relegated to the sidelines seeing every protection he put in place being deconstructed putting our nation in great peril...how demoralizing.
The left constantly talked about George W. Bush's swagger and his cowboy diplomacy and how that damaged our "image" in the world and our relations with other nations.
But George W. Bush was nothing if not circumspect, discreet and respectful in his dealings with foreign leaders and his dealings with his political opponents. He was exceedingly presidential, demonstrating an extremely high respect for the office he held and what it represented.
Good words, Mr. Limbaugh.
I missed it too, so don’t feel sad by yourself.... :(
THANK YOU, dear dmd25, for posting the link and excerpt from David Limbaugh’s column!
You are so welcome, onyx! :) (And please excuse the typos-—I so wish this software had an edit button!) :)
I didn’t notice any typos. Still haven’t...lol. You’re talking to the wrong person about typos...LOL.
