Trust me. It is NOT a problem. :)
I am really confused about what we are and aren’t supposed to post. I thought it was AP photos. Does Yahoo only use AP photos?
GREAT photos of our dear Bushes!!
I reviewed his wartime letters to Barbara for The Times years ago and one of my journalistic regrets is that I didnt give it a more glowing review. In retrospect, it was a collection of letters by a fundamentally decent person who sought to do the right thing without guile or cynicism. People who worked in his administration admired the guy through all four years, which doesnt happen with everybody.
I love this statement about GHWB. I think it is an accurate reflection of what we know of him. (My goodness, DrDeb, you sure were right about the horrid comments on that site! Whew! I thought Collins' comments were crazy and then I found that most everyone agreed with her!)
Thank you for the other articles as well. BTW, just voted "thrilled" and was thrilled to do so!
Here’s the article about last night’s event:
“President George and Laura Bush presented with Tower Center Medal of Freedom.”

Thanks maddie!
Former President George W. Bush speaks with some of about 500 graduating seniors at El Dorado High School in El Dorado, Ark. , Thursday, April 22, 2010. The students signed contracts stating their intent to attend college in return for a share of scholorship money provided by Murphy oil Corporation.
Former President George W. Bush tries on an "El Dorado Promise" scholarship hat before speaking at El Dorado High School in El Dorado, Ark. , Thursday, April 22, 2010. She scholarship began in 2007 with $50 million provided by Murphy Oil Corporation and is available to graduates of the south Arkansas school who agree to attend college.
PING to the new photos!
ohiowfan: I LOVE the hat photo!

I don’t put much stock in the people that are constantly critisizing President Bush on this site. They are unappeasable, ungrateful people who call anyone that doesn’t do thing 100 percent their way RINO’s. Quite frankly I rarely post on this site as I can’t stand alot of the people who are on here. None of those people can disagree without name calling. If fact they remind me of Democrat. They are just as bad.
It doesn’t suprise me that people like Bill O’Reiley call Free Republic a hate site. All you have to do is read their comments and you would come up with the same conclusion. I am fed up with there constant tearing down of any Republican they don’t agree with.
I find Free Republic to be an outstanding source of information but the civility on this site is terrible. I really appreciate those of you who have continued to follow President Bush as it gives me the opportunity to to check up on what he is doing and to remember what it was like to have a good, decent, honest man in the oval office who did what he thought was right regardless of the some of the people on this site who aren’t fit to shine his shoes.
It is nice to see those who have stuck it out on this site despite the loss of some very good people. The people on these threads are first class.
And yes, that hat photo is great. Quintessential "W."
I've come to the conclusion that people who hate President Bush, whether leftist or calling themselves conservatives, are some of the nastiest, meanest, ugliest people on the face of the earth.
And YES, a lot of them spend their time here on FR. (While they sit in their dank basements doing nothing constructive in the world).
I figure my job is to be a counterweight to their slander by posting TRUTH.
But I tell you, if these bozos work against us and keep Obama in the WH, my anger will be unleashed even more. As I see it, they are working for the enemy and against the country.
And I LOVE this country, and so does every single Bush supporter on this forum.
I have gotten to the point where I won’t even bother to post on this site with few exceptions. I refuse to donate any money until the moderators clean it up. I have no problem with people disagreeing but I do expect them to be respectful and until moderators demeand civility and put a stop to the school yard name calling I won’t donate.
This is such a fantastic forum otherwise it is ashame these people are allowed to ruin it.
I understand your POV. The bad guys bring us all down, and I have recently vowed not to let them bring me down no matter how ugly their insults get.
But I WILL defend President Bush. I'm too stubborn and feisty not to. :)
~snip~
Twenty percent of the students will be the first in their family to attend college. He told the students to not underestimate themselves.
"If I was in your position and someone had said 'You're going to be president', I'd said 'You'd lost your mind,' I would have behaved better."
The crowd roared with laughter.
Sorry OhioWfan, this is completely off subject-—just didn’t know where to ask. I was thinking of Snugs a little while ago, and thought I’d check her home page to see when and where she was posting, but unless I misread it, seems her last post was some time in Jan. Just curious if anyone knows how she’s doing. Someone may have asked this earlier, but must confess I haven’t read the whole thread.
Thanks,
Mupcat.
I love the pics you posted!!!!
Purple is beautiful when it’s NOT that awful SEIU!
If anyone knows anything about where snugs has been and how she's doing please check in and let us all know!
Yes it’s a great school color........and OUR President looks pretty spiffy in a purple cap too. :)
Thank you for attending and representing the undying support so many of us continue to give him. I miss him EVERY day!
