Ann Coulter for one has refused to pour gasoline on the Voyeur fire - pledging her full support and offering praise for RNC Chairman Michael Steele.
As Good Morning America's George Stephanopoulos so touchingly pointed out to Steele, a few Republican leaders have been publicly highly critical of Steele and according to a "poll of insiders" only 20 percent consider him an asset to the party.
"Everyone seemed to like him and recently it's like story after story after story - is this guy being villainized?" Fox Business Channel's Eric Bolling asked Coulter on the April 5 "Happy Hour."

Hell, it wasn't even a strip club.
Steele’s an ass. Playing the race card over this was the last straw for me.
Whether they tossed the individual most responsible is not my point. Michale Steele is a rump swab RINO clown in plain English.
If Steele still holds the reins on the GOP come the primaries, then conservatives and this country are toast in November. Steele will give us another John McAmnesty.
Ann Coulter should treat Steele like a leper and steer a wide path around him, as should every other conservative... unless the cause is to toss him out on his hind quarters. Then poor Michale may go whine with Democrats, which is exactly where he belongs.
Well, “buddy” since you haven’t provided more info or even a link, but you’re real ready to ride the high horse, let’s just take a pass.
He at least was helping Pubs win unlikely elections. This alone is enough to give Steele the full smear treatment.
It was a “scanty dress” club.
I had a speculation about this, that the GOP was seeing TSA types systematically foul up their politicking trips. What percentage difference is this making in the budget? I'd like to see some numbers.
This “bad mud” as Rush so correctly named it, is going to get whipped up by a new hurricane set to blow in over the country—the backlash of the American Public that is sick unto death at the mental illness we are seeing in the Democrat Party.
I agree
Steel has to go only for one reason.....HE’s A RINO????
So Ann is human and makes mistakes.
Take off your tinfoil hat. Who the heck cares about Micheal Steele? Heck the Democrats want Steele to stay at the RNC. He is their biggest weapon against the Republicans in this November's elections. Hardly a week goes by without yet another screw up from this loser. If super effective congressmen like Michelle Bachmann, who are really doing serious damage to the Democrats, can take commercial flights through the the TSA with no problems, why would ineffective jokers like Micheal Steele have anything to worry about from the TSA?
“What percentage difference is this making in the budget? I'd like to see some numbers.”
There are plenty of sites that will give you comparative figures between taking a normal commercial flight, and chattering a private jet if you bothered to do an Internet search. One thing is certain, if you booked a flight through Expedia or Travelocity, its going to be far cheaper than chattering a private plane all to yourself.
That is not an issue.
You and your buddy “GVana” are making some of the stupid arguments I have seen a long time
No, I don’t think she’s making a mistake. She’s saying that this ‘morality’ crisis is not a reason Steele should go.
She’s not saying he needs to stay because he’s a good Republican... or leader.
Or at least, that’s my take on her comments.
“Since his election as RNC chairman, he has indulged an appetite for luxury hotels, chartered airplanes, expensive restaurants, and a lavish redecoration of his offices. Roll Call reported that Steele spent $18,500 to redecorate his dark-paneled office. This is going to sound weird, he explained, but its too male for me. Actually, more than anything, it sounds vain and self-indulgent. Among the new accoutrements a Bowflex machine.
The Daily Caller (which broke the story of the Voyeur outing) also reported that the RNC spent $17,514 in the month of February alone for chartered airplanes, and that Steele had looked into the possibility of buying a private plane for the chairmans use. When he travels, Steele stays at luxury hotels like the Beverly Hills Hotel and the Four Seasons. While raising decent amounts of cash, the Republican party under Steele has also burned through it quickly. Between July 2009 and February 2010, the GOP raised $63 million but spent $78 million, leaving the party without a solid cushion heading into the 2010 contests and behaving all too much like the federal government.”

Apparently, lying and being allowing those under you to attend strip clubs on party money are no big deal to Ann as long as Republicans are doing so.
And, why would any conservative defend a nit-witted RINO that proven himself to be incompetent?
One has to wonder how competent Ann is when is defending a man that has been embarrassment to his party:

Shortly after beginning his term as chairman, Steele described Rush Limbaughs work as incendiary and ugly. He was forced to apologize.
Later, in an interview with GQ, Steele described abortion as an individual choice which is generally the rhetoric favored by the pro-abortion rights community. Again, Steele was forced to recant.
Steele has suggested that Mitt Romney didnt win in 2008 because Americans were concerned about Mormonism.
He has also said he was going to give Indian-American Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) some slum love.
And early this year, when discussing his book on Sean Hannitys TV show, Steele used the phrase Honest Injun while making a point. That phrase is generally seen as offensive to the American Indian community.

Michael Steele: Black Politicians Have Less Room for Error
Republican leader Michael Steele, whose leadership has been questioned by some in the GOP, said this morning his job is a little bit tougher because of his race.
“God Bless Ann Coulter. I see she has read Ronald Reagans 11th commandment - and she wants to win in November.”
While I agree the left wants the Republicans fighting amongst themselves......Steele needs to step down quietly and we need someone who will take the threat facing this COUNTRY [not party] seriously. The law is crumbling before our eyes and the left is ready to swing to a hard tyranny.
We need wartime leaders with BALLS and LOUD VOICES warning about the death of America as we know it if the COMMUNISTS are not stopped.
Brainless Steele is worthless. Always has been. I cringed when the Grand Old Panderers put him in charge.
In case you have any doubt:

I've just lived through eight years of Democrats demonizing George Bush, a leader that no one in their party can hold a candle to. Democrats know they are in trouble and they will be desperate to attack Republicans.
I have another stinking suspicion. I fear that entrenched donors within the Republican party will foster the "old guard" and try to hold sway against the will of the tea party movement. Especially since the GOP is behind the Dems in fund raising so far. You can't win elections without cash and there may be more of a fight for the direction of the party than we are aware of.
Make up your mind, are you talking about JUST Mr. Steele, or all RNC officials? And even Steele is the opposite of Obama’s kiss of death for tight elections, that stands from the bare facts.
You deliberately misread the second issue, too. What PERCENTAGE, of the RNC BUDGET is it making, if you will recall, is the question.
You argue in quite bad faith.
