My intro to Tom’s Place was a Geology field trip with my friend Cheryl and my little sister along for the ride. We got started late and trying to find the campsite drove a bit too far up and hit snow flurries. Brave girls we were... we had practiced setting up my Dad’s 8 man tent before going... but not prepared for the darkness and the weather. Proud to say we did get the tent up... froze our patooties that night!
It can get cold even in the summer up there at night!
