Maybe I’m dense, but I can’t figure out how this means anything different than what is known. We know his father was from Kenya, he admitted he had a dual citizenship until it supposedly ‘expired’ at age 21.
Now I know this means he is ineligible, but this statement alone isn’t any great revealing of something unknown. Unless I’m totally missing something.
Wait, do these Freepers think this means he is saying HE is the ‘young man’ from Kenya? The young woman from Kansas is his mother, the Dunham’s were originally from Kansas.
Michelle Obama is from Illinois, so he couldn’t be meaning himself and a woman from Kenya.

...and continue, rather than picking out the phrase and twisting it to mean what you want, rather than what it does. You’ll find that phrase you cherry-picked is in reference to the children of citizens of the United States who are BORN OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES. In other words, not on US soil.
Don’t confuse “citizen” with “Natural born citizen”, although the NBC part has always been a little difficult to define. If he was born overseas though, with Ann being his only US parent, he wouldn’t even be a citizen. If he later became one, he would be a “naturalized” citizen. This is why it’s so important to verify he was in fact born in Hawaii. Because of the laws at the time (US Citizen parent must have been in country 10 years, five of which over the age of 14 or 16-depending on the source and doesn’t matter because she was 18), WHERE he was born is the most important factor.
My alarm comes from how vigorously every court has worked to avoid going to discovery when presented with one of these NBC cases.

His father being an British citizen at Obama’s birth has never been disputed. Obama admitted to a dual citizenship. The problem is getting the courts to acknowledge that NBC does not mean only one US citizen.

A statutory citizen (bestowed by man’s pen) can never be a “natural born” citizen (bestowed by God/nature).
Statutory citizenship means that a person’s citizenship requires a law or laws to define it. A citizen via statute is constitutionally ineligible to serve as Commander-in-Chief.
A person who is natural born requires no laws to define their citizenship. Only a “natural born” citizen is constitutionally eligible to serve as Commander-in-Chief.
“Natural born” citizens are in a class separate from all others. They are, in fact, in a classification or category unto themselves because they alone are eligible to serve as Commander-in-Chief — a fact that unsettles many.

While I haven't actually read his autobiography, I'd be willing to bet that on some page he makes mention of the fact that he's the product of a Kenyan father and a mother who hailed from Kansas.
Not quite sure how earth-shattering this 2004 statement is.
Of course, as usual, he was lying. His Kenyan grandfather was quite well off by local standards, as evidenced by his having more than one wife at a time. His US Grandparens were certainly not poor either. They were white collar and middle class. (unlike my own parents, who were blue collar and middle class)
