"Either one advocates maximum freedom or one doesn’t....and not just when it is personally convenient. "

"Maximum freedom" is a subjective term...a "trustee" in prison has his "maximum freedom", soldiers have their "maximum freedom".

By your definition, I should be free to own my own, personal nuclear weapon, or give people whooping cough immunizations without any training, licensing or authorization.

Maximum freedom - I don't think - will work in a society of laws, or laws would be a moot point.

We should be free to have 37 wives, sewage in our back yards, and to get a new job we would just have to whip the ass of the fellow who's holding it now.

Those are not "freedoms"...those are "jungle law"...survival of the fittest.

We have to have laws; there must be something that says if you live in this society you must operate within these rules or we will remove you from that society.

There is a lyric that says, "Freedom's just another word, for nothing left to lose.". That is true, when you've lost everything - and you don't care about your life - THAT is when you are totally free.

Also, your concept of "maximum freedom" will only work in a utopian society, where everyone has total respect for everyone else. Libertarians are big on "open borders", but those who are coming here to take our resources and take benefits to which they are NOT entitled are not practicing "maximum freedom", they are practicing "maximum theivery".

Libertarians are left wingers who want the budget balanced, that is the bottom line of every libertarian I've ever debated, and therefore I want nothing to do with that ideology. You can't have social liberalism and fiscal conservativeness...they are not compatible.

There is one thing that makes utopian liberalism and libertariansim impossible, and it will never go away, and that one thing is HUMAN NATURE...and there is nothing any of us can do about that.

When you start speaking for me I know you are so full of crap that I won't ready any further than this tripe....you lack the common sense that God promised a brass monkey wrench and are too stupid to know it when I tell it to you.

I did not give you "my definition" so you just showed what making assumptions does but it was a one way show with you being it.

Oh, btw, if you have the means to develop and possess a nuc, be my guest. but you don't so it is just one more idiotic straw man argument.
