It’s a “dry heat” (yes, still damned hot, but not humid), and life here really noticeably improves. You should visit, plus, the storms are really cool.

Likely because, in NY, you’re not forced into your car to accomplish everyday routine tasks. It’s also a Cultural Thing.

Chicago is better then L.A. expect the weather IMO.

I grew up in the midwest. Summers there are AWFUL. Very hot AND humid. The summers here are heaven in comparison. Plus, we have the ocean, the sound, and the mountains to escape to.

Why the hell is traffic so bad in L.A. if they have 10 lane highways?

Adults in LA come to San Diego for the Restaurants & Music
in the Gas Lamp area of Downtown, Little Italy , La Jolla,
etc.
Bring the family for the SD Zoo, Sea World, Lego Land,
USS Midway Museum, etc. along with the beaches
and the list goes on.
