Not for Amnesty.
McCain got a clue. Where he was a few yrs ago on this
is not there now.
I want the over 12 million illegals shipped back.
The trick is, who and how to round them up and how to
ship back over 12 million with the liberal MSM, ACLU
and every other left wing bleading hearts blocking the operation.
Palin seems to be trying to straddle the fence and stall for time. McCain, however, is simply lying, by redefining the terms. Just as in 2008, amnesty is the "path to citizenship" for those who "play by the rules"(Palin's phrase, BTW) by merely paying a fine, "going to the back of the line"(whatever that means), or some such meaningless gesture. That's not going to fly.
Don’t believe for a minuto (little spanish lingo) that el Senator has changed his position. He has not, and will not. He’s posturing because Hayworth is only 7 points back in the latest poll. Juan would neither shut down the border nor do anything to deny citizenship to all the illegals already here.
I think one good way to get rid of them is a) change the anchor baby regulations/citizenship path; b) continue to penalize employers who employ illegals. (I know, I usually don’t like hammering business, but this is pretty easy to do.); c) allow state and local police to determine if someone is an illegal if they’ve committed a crime and deport them immediately; and d) continue to stage raids, such as those in OH two years ago which were extremely successful.
