Preppers are keen not to be seen as survivalists - the stereotypically anti-government, wood-dwelling, gun-toting hermits of past decades. Rather than isolating themselves in preparation for Armageddon, preppers tend to have normal jobs, mingle with their communities and take a more relaxed view about looming disasters.

Egads, talk about slanted reporting. Wanna bet Chuckie's place will be the first one ransacked if/when there is an emergency? Add me to your ping list, please.

We had a hurricane hit town a year and a half ago. No power for 3days-2months for some people in one of the 5 largest cities in this nation.

We were told to have supplies on hand. Some even had to get generators to have limited power.

It’s difficult to plan for hurricane season 2 days out.
