This is what I’ve been saying all along about Obamacare. When the government subsidizes health care, that increases the demand for health care services and drives the cost to the government way up beyond all government forecasts. Then health care costs are busting the budget and threatening a fiscal meltdown, so the costs have to be cut by capping pay for health care professionals and reducing the quality of health care. Some of the best specialists leave the country to practice overseas where there are no pay caps. The level of quality and innovation declines throughout the whole system. It always happens; it’s just basic economics. It’s already happened in Britain and Canada. We must repeal this disastrous legislation so that top quality health care does not also disappear in the United States.
Subsidize housing through Freddie and Fannie - average home prices greatly outstrip the rate of inflation.
Subsidize college tuition through Sallie Mae, prices greatly outpace inflation (mine doubled while getting my bachelors).
Explode the number of consumers and subsidize health care... then...
