Exactly - everything you said

If someone wants to go to ‘survival’ mode, there is a far cheaper and safer ways.

Everyone who can needs to start becoming as self sufficient for their basic needs as possible. This is wise, even if just on an economic level.

Ideally, get back with a piece of land that can provide your own water, garden space and wood for use in a wood stove. And have some kerosene lamps and always a few weeks of food on hand.

These are simple, basic preparedness steps in case of ANY emergency: illness, loss of job, power outage, Marxist take over.

You stay under the radar. If you have a hand gun, a deer rifle and a bird gun - that's sufficient and not likely to make you a red pin on the map.

It doesn't hurt to align yourself, find friends, that are of like mind - and steer clear of the fringe-people. Just be prepared and knowledgeable about how to take care of yourself and your family as to food, water, heat and light.

I grew up on a farm in the deep forest back in the ‘30-40’s. We had no electricity. But we always had a warm house, a years supply of food (in the garden/canning jars, barrels, barn, woods, waters, chicken coop) - and our own sweet well water. The Depression hit everyone hard, but not nearly as hard for us and the others around us. We had our basic needs.

Learn to become more independent. And stay under the radar.

The Feds don't care if you live that way either!

The Militia Groups are useful to them in helping to justify their Budgets, especially for the ATF. Also they love the gun displays on the tables at trials!
