There's no "sedition" in 1st amendment expression.

The Sedition Act (officially An Act for the Punishment of Certain Crimes against the United States; ch. 74, 1 Stat. 596) made it a crime to publish "false, scandalous, and malicious writing" against the government or its officials.

Don't know when that act was passed, but it clearly has not been enforced. Just to name a couple of recent examples, look at Michael Moore and his screenplay (writing) and movie about George Bush. Look at all those people who push 9/11 conspiracy crap.

If that law you cite has never been enforced, and if it is now suddenly being used in a selective, political manner, I hope some Constitutional lawyers get in on the case and challenge it through the courts.
