Read “Seasons In Hell” about Bosnia. One thing you hear over and over is the shock of people who truly believed to their core “it couldn’t happen here.” Remember, this was only a few years after Sarajevo hosted the Olympics! Bosnians thought themselves to be very cosmopolitan and “beyond” that kind of strife potential. They were wrong.
And their different ethnic/religious enclaves embedded within each other and all tangled like noodles made the creation of front lines a very horribly bloody mess.
Look at that red-blue county map and ponder the bitter political divisions locked in between Richmond and Boston.
Now imagine a total financial crisis ala Argentina 2001. Dollar collapse, banks closed, no ATMs, supermarkets or gas stations for months.
Think they’ll all be smiling and singing Kumbaya, neighborhood by neighborhood, hungry cold and in the dark from Richmond to Boston?
I don’t.
You have a total misunderstanding of America and her character, I don't doubt you knowledge of Bosnia though. You need to understand what a republic is before casting assumptions.
