Let me ask you something? Is there a specific amendment to the Constitution or some law out there that prohibits the federal government from enslaving its own citizens? The 14th Amendment prohibits slavery by private parties but not the government.

In order to enslave a people you must first dumb them down. If you look at what has happened to the education of Americans for the past 100+ years or so you will find it has gone down hill in a very serious manner.

The first thing people must do in order to revive a nation is to start with reforming the education system by abolishing public school systems and the federal Department of Mis-education. Only private, parochial, and home schools should be allowed and encouraged to flourish in a decentralized manner. By keeping it decentralized it makes it much more difficult for an aspiring tyrant to take them over.

The nation began with church and home schools. Then came local neighborhood schools. Then “consolidation” occurred, followed by the massive Dept. of Ed. It got progressively worse with each step. When God was kicked out, so were patriotic pride and knowledge of our founders and documents. In their place are diversity and multiculturalism, along with self-esteem priorities. I see the result of this every day. I teach college English, and I wrote better than most incoming freshmen when I was in 8th grade! I credit the emphasis on discipline and academic rigor way back then—50s and 60s.

The 14th Amendment prohibits slavery by private parties but not the government.

13th Amendment, not 14th:

Section. 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Doesn't say "One man may not own another as property", it says "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude...shall exist...".

Though many (including myself) make the argument that the 16th Amendment reinstitutes it.
