No, the point is McCain is the same then as now. McCain is the standard in the current argument.

If McCain is the honest standard for judging Palin, the standard would have been used in 2008.

If it’s honest.

Remember the reality of 2008....

We had no choice.

Now, in this moment, the people of AZ do.

Are you expecting us to take that seriously? McCain was running against Obama not another, better conservative candidate. He would have been president and she would have been VP.

In a way she didn't support him - he was supporting her. Without her, McStupid wouldn't have gotten over 40% of the vote.

She made him then and she's attempting to do it again against his own party.

Sorry, your reasoning is completely flawed.

Okay, now I see where the reasoning comes from. You, and a few others, have elevated Palin over McCain. I can see that and, at this time, it's fair. I think we all have. Palin would certainly be a better choice for president than McCain.

However, to backdate that reasoning to a few months prior to the election is specious. At that time the focus was on McCain and Palin was used to elevate him.

Now, we have a better candidate in Hayworth and Palin is again being used to try to elevate McCain.

Using Palin to raise McCain over Obama is one thing but to use her to raise him over Hayworth is completely different.

It's interesting to see that you don't see that this whole conflict revolves around McCain. People are dying to support Palin but she's turning her back on them by supporting McCain.

This race is NOT about Palin - it's about McCain and you have juxtaposed the two. You just don't see it.
