I agree and some of those comments...politely done are from my wife.
I wrote SarahPac myself.
Enough is enough.
Mccain is not our friend.
You aren’t drinking that “Palin is bad because she is supporting McCain” Koolaid, are you? Loyalty is a virtue that Southerners value. in the human balance, McCain is not that important.
Ronald Reagan supported ultraliberal Illinois Senator Chuck Percy in 1978, when Phyllis Schlafly was ready to take him out in a GOP primary. In case you have forgotten, Percy was in favor of federal funding of abortion, the ERA and the Panama Canal Treaty, all of which Reagan (and conservatives) vehemently opposed. He also sponsored liberal Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens for the Federal appeals court in Chicago and for the Supreme Court. Stevens is still afflicting us with his rulings.
Ronald Reagan was a “once in a generation” candidate, I was not about to throw someone like him under the bus, even though I did not agree with, or even understand, his support for Percy. Percy just was not that important. (Neither is McCain).
On the other hand, I understand Palin’s support of McCain and if I were in her position, I would do exactly the same thing. Even if I did not understand it, I would not be willing to jettison such a talented, principled and good candidate for President. Candidates like her don’t come along often. She is another once in a generation candidate.
Incidentally, Phyllis Schlafly is a much better candidate and conservative than JD Hayworth. Reagan passed on a far better alternative to Percy than Palin has on McCain. And McCain is not half as bad as the pro-abort Percy was.
