What a bogus statement. It wasn’t McCain, it was some of his people running the campaign. God, some of the ignorance on this forum is outstanding. No wonder, the libs won.
McCain did nothing to stop the smears his own employees were spreading. That constitutes de facto approval of their actions. And for campaign lieutenants to do something like that in the middle of a campaign for President, and then not get fired for doing so, points strongly to the completely reasonable conclusion that their boss put them up to it.
