Pardon my confusion; which/whose incarnation of that phrase do you refer to?
It’s a popular notion, but failing actual “boots on the ground”, this isn’t. It’s not the moral equivalent thereof. The only anecdote that _could_ fit the concept was the “Cold War”, which could have gone hot in 30 minutes flat from any moment - not as a matter of rhetorical theory, but because fingers were on triggers waiting only for the command.
Heck, what’s being discussed doesn’t even reach the level of “civil disobedience”. For all the “I won’t comply” rhetoric, I await the tunes years hence when we finally meet “pay the fine or go to jail”. 99.999% will continue following the rules/laws, talking as if that’s something special.
I’m not advocating anything, just lamenting the neutering of all “CWII” stands for.
The Left likes to use flourishing rhetoric when the public seems ripe. People may be ready to be sympatico with “war has been declared upon us.”
Conservatives by nature are not good at offense and have a high regard for law. The moment this thing became the law of the land many ‘conservatives’ got behind it.
It is a must that if we are to restore constitutional government we get comfortable with concept of government as the enemy. It is not your government. You government was killed and replaced with this zombie/ body snatcher. I know it looks like your government. It may even call you out by name and your heart aches, but you know what you must do.
Amen! American combat veterans endured their respective “wars” to give us our freedom.Sadly I don’t believe ANYTHING could rile the American public to arms in a “civil” or “revolutionary” manner ever again. We’ve become far too complacent. As long as we have our computers and TV’s and no one invades the three foot space directly surrounding us, well, if I have to explain, you wouldn’t understand anyway.God help us all!
