How are the judges chosen for these cases? Can we shop the complaint around in search of a more sympathetic ear?
absent a reply to your query from a lawyer, and with only such experience as I have peripherally with the courts, I believe the judges are chosen in a ‘random’ fashion. That’s what most courts are doing these days. The ‘judge shopping’ tends to be only at SCOTUS any more. It used to be at all federal levels.
