Obama will say “All of my opponents are saying my signing the executive order will not change the law. Therefore I will respect their knowledge of the law and will not sign the executive order. Sorry, Stupak, but it’s your pro-life buddies who made me break my promise to you.”

Wow, I figured there would be a double cross, but I didn’t think it would come this fast.

My understanding of the Senate bill (from my watching many news shows) is that you and I might have the same insurance policy, and if I want abortion coverage included with it, I would pay a extra fee. But the common pool of money from all the premiums is used to cover both your treatments and my abortions, not that the abortion fee forms it’s own pool of money. Adding to that is I may be poor and get mine paid for by the tax dollars to buy the same insurance, but still have to pay that abortion additional fee. So taxpayer and your premiums still get used for abortions as they fund the same pool of money. The pro-aborts were arguing that it was OK because they pay an extra fee.

I think the dispute has something to do with “direct” funding. If the federal does not directly fund it but mandates that abortion is a service that has to be provided by and funded by the states... but I am not sure, just throwing out something I had heard.

Oh, you are probably right, ignore my rambling about the states having to pay.

Stupak allowed himself to be used and probably hand a large role in the play he was going to produce.

Smoke and mirrors is all Stupak is and I hope this lesson finally takes hold with Republicans - we can not trust anything a Democrat says, period.

It looks like the 30 pieces of silver that Judas Stupak REALLY WANTED was his airport, the E.O. was just a cover story.

I don’t think Zero made a fool out of Stupak at all. I think Stupak really wanted the money for the airport.

We should all call Bart Stupak and ask him about it.

I don't know much about him, but if he really is against abortion, I wonder how he can live with himself. I was so mad, watching him announcing his decision to vote for it. How could he trust Obama?

You could have separate abortion insurance policies funded by their own fees and separate pool of money, Stupak idea. The pro-choicers(pro-abortion) hated this because they know the insurance providers wouldnt offer it, and few women would sign up to fund the pool of money if they did. They argue that the need for an abortion is like the need for a specific cancer treatment, that no one anticipates till it’s too late(plus they want taxpayers paying for it). Our side argues that we dont want to pay for others abortions. Then Stupak sold out to save Obama.

Yes, he made statements prior to his sellout that were not reversible. So based on his prior statements he in the end made a deal with Obama to fund abortions(the specifics of which are complex.)

I thought Stupak got three airports, not just one...or was that yet another false rumor????

He needs to be voted out —I cannot believe the voters of Pennsylvania voted out Rick Santorum and put this guy in the U.S. Senate. He is a lap dog RAT who will go along with every Senate Bill or House Bill endorsed by Obama.

NOTE: Just talked to someone in Stupak’s Office. I asked why Obama did not sign the Executive Order when he signed the Obamacare Bill. His staff person’s answer — “Iam not sure,
I will pass that on to him”. I proceeded to ask a followup question when I heard the phone click with a hang up!!
Freakin rude people in those offices!!!
