I thought they were unrelated too- but what’s he going to do- just write an executive order saying federal funds will not be used for abortions? They’ll lose the 40 votes- or at least a LOT of them.

They are desperate to peel off some of the Stupak coalition, could it be a “remedy” to provide cover for them...just until the vote? I don’t know, but I put nothing past them.
