An even greater way to teach your kids regarding this fiasco is if you can get a clip or replay of both Paul Ryan’s and John Boehner’s eloquent speeches on the floor tonight (roughly between 8:15 and 9:20 central time tonight, respectively) - both impassioned, about our country’s exceptionalism, founding fathers, constitution, individual freedoms and more - and both greeted by cheers (with admonitions by the “speaker” on Boehner’s). These are the even bigger ideas that our children need to learn but the public schools are working NOT to teach.

When I was 14 I went to France on vacation, I have family there.

I was appalled that my cousin had a crappy apartment on the first floor and had to pay taxes because she owned a tv.

I asked where she worked, "the government." I asked where my aunt worked, "the government." My other cousin, "the government." My uncle, "the government."

My aunt an uncle had an apartment on the 7th floor only because they had worked for the government longer than my cousin.

We cannot become France!
