Levin is a Constitutional scholar and former Justice Dept. attorney, yes.
He has written a book “Men In Black” and in countless other ways shown his Constitutional bona fides.
Your question implies to me that supposedly the lady who called Rush had “worked on these types of cases”. She did not claim to have worked on such cases while in the Justice Dept. She just claimed to have worked there and she stated her views.
Levin said nothing wrong with her views, she just applied it to the wrong factual situation. The case before us has them trying to pass a Senate bill without ever bringing that bill to the House Floor. Levin said there’s no way to have 20% of members present to stand and demand a recorded vote on a bill that is not before the House.
And he would be correct on that.
