What would all the senior Texans do that depend on Social Security and Medicare for their livelihood? Sure TX has lots of resources and ocean ports and could certainly be on their own from today forward, but think about what it would mean to anyone half way through life or towards the end. If you had US based investments now you would be offshore. You would no longer be able to get your SS check unless you made arrangements to move back to the USSA for 6 months a year(???) and you certainly will not be getting any Medicare reimbursements for your TX based doctors.
