I doubt Stupak will cave. Some of his group might...but I don't think he will.

However, he will make a pro-life deal if he can. But a deal means the thing has got to go back to the Senate first...anathema for the White House.

Anything that Stupak does to gum up the works is good.

1. Let’s say he makes a deal with Pelosi. She will lose pro-abortion leftists and the bill will fail.

2. Alternatively, the GOP could help Stupak get his amendment attached to the bill. If it is held hostage from Obama, his provision gets struck by the Senate in reconciliation.

3. After that, the modified bill would come back to the House where the GOP votes could ensure it will fail.

The bottom line - this will all take time, days and weeks.

If we can get House members home for Easter, we can kill this monstrosity.

Let Stupak create as much confusion and delay as he likes.

Pelosi might cave to Stupaks deal.....’”CONCURRENT RESOLUTION”....

It was not entirely clear how exactly Stupak’s proposal would work. Stupak is reportedly trying to change the abortion language through a procedure called a “concurrent resolution,” but a parliamentarian expert told The Daily Caller that such a move would face huge hurdles.

The House would likely have to pass the Senate bill, and then hold it back from going to the president for his signature while they voted on the concurrent resolution. That resolution would then have to go through the Senate

Nonetheless, Pelosi appeared to be taking the proposal seriously, judging by the reaction from her pro-choice caucus.
