I was screaming for Texas to seceed during the 2000 recount. I think it could have been done at the time. We even had a republican controlled legislature and a republican governor. Now I’m afraid it’s too late. The feds now have too much power.
As attractive and seductive as the “S” word goes in these particular circles...It is an impractical solution that will be hard, once you even manage to get the ball rolling on just even the serious discussion of the issue...
We need to keep plugging on getting this intrusive and expanding federal government out of our lives from within...
I believe we will finally get that done here in November...But alas, ther are some that think that my Eeyor mentality about all the yelling and screaming so far over the last year is for naught...
I happen to believe this is a good thing from the standpoint that it has awakened a lot of people to the problem...But it is a little too late, and I am concerned that at the end of the day Sunday, we will finally lose what is left of our pocketbooks, and our childrens pocketbooks and their childrens pocketbooks because of the ever presnt threat that manifests itself in elitist liberal-statists that have every intention and knowledge that what they are doing IS going to destroy this country from the inside out...
Honestly, this is going to be very interesting how we climb out of this rut...And we will, its just going to be after most of us are long gone...And I’m ok with that as long as we are heading in that direction...
We need to show up in November after all is said and done and put all that yelling and screaming to an effective outcome...If you don’t show up, then I have no use for those people...There is no reason that every elected official that voted for this debacle should not be shown the street...But there are some in districts that their constituency is of the “gimme somefin’” ilk that believe government is their to give them something...And sure enough they’ll take it from them and us for that matter...
We will not defeat that type of mentality...
