The numbers in the article match up closely with what's on Charity Navigator. If you look at Charity Navigator, it shows:

Program Expenses $6,084,474 Administrative Expenses $365,375

Administrative expenses are the overhead. Program expenses are the monies spent for the charitable benefits of the recipients. Methinks the author may have confused the two.

I'm looking for the latest tax returns, but here's a link to 2007.

The numbers are not that unusual from other large organizations. As I posted a while ago, The numbers are not too far off from the American Cancer Society.

Thanks for clarifying.. I think many here think program expenses = admin expenses. In a charity you have awards you make to recipients and there are also expenses associated with those awards, many of which are travel related.
