Even one of House Speaker Nancy Pelosis floor whips, U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch, says a proposed parliamentary move to pass health-care reform would be disingenuous and harm the credibility of Congress.
In a sign of how tough its been for Pelosi to round up votes for the massive bill, Lynch - a South Boston Democrat who supported a House reform package last year - said hell probably vote against a key Senate version of the legislation, unless unexpected major changes are made soon.
Lynch, who serves as one of Pelosis key vote counters, said he also cant support a proposed deem and pass procedure that would allow Democrats to vote to strip out controversial portions of the Senate bill and then deem that the entire package has passed without a second, direct vote

Anyone actually think he won't make an announcement that this suddenly just "happened?" Anyone, anyone?
Once a Rat, always a Rat.
“the credibility of Congress.”
Talk about your industrial strength oxymoron.
Namcy deserves a whip or three.
This is a criminal act of trying to flagrantly violate the rule of law in regards to legislative order. Pelosi and Reid should be removed from office and Obama should be impeached for this.
.....as Rush said, this makes watergate look like childs play

The “Scott Brown effect” in MA and other formerly “safe” states?

If they need to fake momentum, looks like the CBO headfake didn't fool anyone.
But since Scott Brown is a No vote in the senate, without the Slaughter maneuver, the only way they could pass "unexpected major changes" in the house is to get enough morons who trust the senate to take a leap of faith (without Slaughter). So maybe he thinks there are enough of such morons.
If Obama signs it , he is violating his sworn oath to protect and defend the constitution which will be an impeachable offense
Maybe our brand new Republican Senator from MA has had a talk with Lynch, pointing out 2010 election coming soon. Senator Brown could sway a lot of voters in MA right now especially with HC being one of the reasons Brown won the people’s seat in January.
Paging Ambassador to Ireland Lynch...
Perhaps Lynchie got his arse reamed when he went home to see a bunch of drunkie southie boys yesterday.
Interesting... you may be right, BARLF.
TOTAL BULLSHIITE. This gives Lynch the cover he needs to either vote "YES," or acquiesce in the "Deemed Passed " scam.
Note: Lynch needs 5 years of service to qualify for his Congressional "Kisses in the Mail." He will be bought, and quite cheaply, with a tiny portion of the Kenyan's discretionary Stimulus Funds.
Or, as you say, a trip to Dublin, as Ambassador.

Tom Coburn, from a press conference a little earlier:
I want to send a couple of messages to my colleagues in the House.
If you voted no and you vote yes, and you lose your election, and you think any nomination to a federal position isn’t going to be held in the Senate, I’ve got news for you. It’s going to be held.
Number two is, if you get a deal, a parochial deal for you or your district, I’ve already instructed my staff and the staff of seven other senators that we will look at every appropriations bill, at every level, at every instance, and we will outline it by district, and we will associate that with the buying of your vote. So, if you think you can cut a deal now, and it not come out until after the election, I want to tell you that isn’t going to happen. And be prepared to defend selling your vote in the House
I need to make a sign for a rally that I’m going to in front of Congresswoman Jane Harman’s office tomorrow.
If anybody has a good one that they can post or direct me to another thread that has one I would appreciate it.
Thank you and Fight On!
