Dist. 51 is notoriously liberal. Will there be any public debates with Filner (other than Roger Hedgecock, where Filner refuses to show up?)

Traveling around the District, I have found it to be more conservative than it votes. Filner has decv’d and practiced the politics of groups promising each one the moon, many are holding IOUs from ‘04, ‘06, ‘08,...etc. The bills are due in 2010. Get your friends out to vote.

"... California’s 51st District is notoriously liberal."

Not so fast.

That seat is where Randy 'Duke' Cunningham served for a long while after the district was created. The Democratic incumbent there has all kinds of scandal and unseemly behavior behind him. The incumbent has been running against schnooks for awhile now, and they usually fail to beat him because they're cretins, or multiple candidates split the vote, or they dropped in the polls from some scandal of their own.

The RNC better know this and send the Popaditch campaign a raft of money. Tomorrow.

Nick, square Filner's ass away.
