To: Cee-gar Man US Marine
Far too many people now are voting , and encouraged to vote, when they cannot even pass simple literacy tests . People who know little or no English are shown sample ballots and told where to put their mark, or given translations by machine serving 100 or more languages. Many states no longer require ID for voting.

Would you work to change this in order to stop the proliferation of demagogues and oppressive or undesirable laws?

They don’t? Not Utah! This past fall, for the first time, our little town implemented a voter id! As glad as I am to finally see them implement something for voter id; it seemed strange and sad to me at the same time. We don’t have many of the same problems there are in other cities/states. However, there may have been some in Salt Lake or Ogden. I don’t know. At least I’m not aware of any in our little town. (N. Ogden)
