OBAMA: Well, here's what's taking place — we both know what's going on. You've got a Senate bill that was passed, that had provisions that needed to be changed. Right?

Did the Senate actually pass the bill or was the vote for cloture? I am confused by this endless crap.

The Senate bill passed on Dec 24, 2009. The cloture vote preceded final passage - this means bringing the debate to an end.

The House must now pass the Senate bill as-is - with all the corruption and special deals - and then the president must sign the bill into law.

Only after this occurs can the House and Senate take up reconciliation, which is confined to budgetary issues. Abortion, for example, cannot be fixed in reconciliation. There are many who believe that the House RATS are being conned by BO, Pelosi and Reid that the Senate will spend a full month on a reconciliation fix.

The most important immediate thing is to kill passage of the SENATE bill in the HOUSE.

Hope this helps.
