I tried to email Oberstar, but his Congressional website will not allow it since I do not live in his district. If I could, I would ask him how he can reconcile his pro-life stance with his pro-abortion vote, considering that the Senate bill will empower the Executive Branch to mandate abortion coverage among all private insurers. And yes, that means that whichever company handles insurance coverage for the Catholic Church in Michigan will now be forced to offer abortion coverage. And that means that nuns, priests, and other church employees will be funding abortion via their premiums. Oberstar can explain that one to God.
Email his chief of staff, Bill Richard.

I live in Oberstar’s district. I emailed yesterday and called his local office today. Asked me my name and address. Then I called one of the numbers Rush mentioned and I got right through. Asked for Oberstar’s office and got through there too. There they asked for my name and city but not my address (and there are two pages of people with my name in the phone book). So I added three no votes to their internal poll on constituents (for what good that will do).
