Hmm. I also know quite a few lesbians and they seem asexual rather than obsessed with sex. Yes, some attempt to turn straight women, but I am not sure that they are any more obsessed with sex than males.
One of the ways I was exposed to a lesbian community was because one of the folks I shared a large NYC apartment with (for a short time) was a lesbian.
She and her friends were very nice people in a social since, but they were sexually rabid.
I have never in my life known ANY guys that were as relentlessly sexual as they were.
That said, I have been told that gay men (the kind that attend bathhouses and clubs) make lesbians seem tame by comparison.
