Health Care Alert: Maddow is Mad, NOW is Nasty. Bishops say No! Stupak Stands Strong.
Catholic Online ^ | 3/14/10 | Deacon Keith Fournier

Posted on 03/14/2010 12:08:16 PM PDT by tcg

She is on MSNBC, a network which prides itself as being "the place for politics." Of course, it depends on your politics. Trained by Keith Olbermann, she is a little less annoying than her mentor. She does it with a smile. She is arrogant …and she is an activist. And, when she gets mad…. she gets even.

That was eminently clear on March 10, 2010 when she decided to jettison any claims at being a reporter and simply verbally attack Congressman Bart Stupak. The piece was entitled "Bart Stupak´s 15 Minutes of Fame." Ms. Maddow simply does not like the fact that Bart Stupak is a defender of the fundamental human Right to Life. She is mad that he will not back down from his position rooted in the objective truth, revealed by the Natural Law and confirmed by medical science that the child in the womb is one of us. She is a supporter of what is being called the "Right to Choose", which simply means the protection with the Police Power of the State of those who engage in the killing of children in the womb.

I know that many of our readers oppose many other aspects of this legislation, not the least of which is the federalizing of health care delivery services, as violating the principle of subsidiarity. I share some of those concerns. The Catechism of the Catholic Church summarizes the principle, "In accordance with the principle of subsidiarity, neither the state nor any larger society should substitute itself for the initiative and responsibility of individuals and intermediary bodies." However, during this 11th hour, we must remember that there is a hierarchy of truths and values concerning this legislation as there as many other legislative and policy arenas. The protection of innocent life is most important...

I know she is a female but her masculinity is very strong. It is more than a hair cut and plain clothing.

If you call being masculine being a pushy jacka$$...yea..maybe.

The physical appearance is greatly that of a man..the psychological makeup is of a good old fashioned arm twisting Neanderthal.

“....or outlaw Christians for that matter...”

You just touched on an increasingly frustrating issue, for me anyway. For at least the last sixty years leftists have been driving Christianity out of the culture. Homosexuals and abortionists spearhead the attack.

What have Christian pastors done about this? Not much. Too many of them prefer to insulate themselves within their congregations and preach about the importance of bringing people to Christ.

They hide behind 501(C)3 tax exemption and quote scripture about rendering unto Ceaser, etc. For a decade I have watched children in our congregation grow up, go through high school and on to the universities. I have also seen these children reject Christ.

Between the inferior, anti-American garbage learned in public schools and the passivity of pastors it is little wonder that Barack Obama was elected. Those same young people voted to place this Muslim totalitarian in the White House. Unless the Democrats in great numbers can be tossed out of office in November I really don’t think that America will survive.

Stupak does not appear intrested in trying to change the system. Have you seen him on TV raising hell today ? They may not be able to control his every move, but they still got him by the balls and they can do a lot of harm to him. He is a much different situation than Sarah Palin was.

You're right. He's just staying and fighting for his principles.

Obviously, my experience was quite different than yours.

One of the ways I was exposed to a lesbian community was because one of the folks I shared a large NYC apartment with (for a short time) was a lesbian.

She and her friends were very nice people in a social since, but they were sexually rabid.

I have never in my life known ANY guys that were as relentlessly sexual as they were.

That said, I have been told that gay men (the kind that attend bathhouses and clubs) make lesbians seem tame by comparison.

The worst thing we can do to these MSNBC anti American jerks is to ignore them as we should when a kid throws a tantrum.

Code Red” - House Target List on Health Care

The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

Congressional Dems on Twitter
http://www.arrghpaine.com/congressional-dems-on-twitter

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.
At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.

When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!

We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!

Don’t be silly. We all need to stand together against Obamacare, as well as stand up for life.

I don’t agree with Stupak on everything, but NOW is the time to stand with him and support him. Same goes for the bishops.

Plenty of time to disagree RESPECTFULLY later. Don’t miss the big picture, PLEASE.

Palin was right about so many things, including the death panels. You betcha.

This piece explains it very eloquently:

“First of all, yes, there will be “death panels” and no, they won’t be called that. snip there will be “comparative medicine boards” where a group of faceless, nameless bureaucrats will decide who gets care and who doesn’t. This won’t be based on what will be best for the patient, these people won’t be weighing on the best medical practices for an individual.

You see, these “comparative medicine boards” will be made up of accountants, bean counters. Their only goal will be saving the government, ..’

Actually, contrary to what you are saying, the bishops did oppose Obama.
