The Scriptures have stated that the moral condition of man will be as evil as the days of Noah (great violence and bloodshed) and that the majority of peoples would mock His translation (rapture) of the saved sinners (saints) and that people would call good evil and evil good and that their would be *distress of nations with perplexity." And then the 7 year tribulation of all the earth and Israel to bring them into subjegation of God's coming King, Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

I know that many even here on FR will mock this, deny that, and scoff at all of it. However, the end will come. It's a promise God made in the Bible and there has never been a promise made in Scripture that God has not kept.

Read: I Thessalonians Chapter 5 verses 1 thru 6. We believers will know when Christ is returning. For us He will not be coming as a thief in the night. And we are ready...

I'm thinking if I were one of the folks left here after the rapture....just witnessing millions just vanish or witness the opening of the heavens.

I'd like to think I wasn't so dedgum dense to overlook such an event.

Wow. I admire your knowledge of scripture but question the wisdom of spending all of your time trying to fit together pieces of an apocryphal story that may have little or nothing to do with the coming of our Lord. In fact, their is much evidence that Revelations is a message to the Christians of the day about the evils of Rome and the fall of the Emperor Nero. Seems to me like time that might be better spent elsewhere like working in a soup kitchen or a homeless shelter.

First of all, Moses and Elijah cannot be the Jewish Prophests .... since they were not Jewish.

Also, The Lord will not come until the restitution of all things (Acts 3:21)

Plus Elijah must come first to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers (Mal 4:5-6) For fulfillment see D&C 110:12-16 (LDS scripture)

A fair question. Revelation 11:6 describes the two witnesses like this:
"These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want."

Even though no name is mentioned in this chapter, here are a couple of clues. Elijah was "famous" for causing rain to stop. Moses was known for turning the water in Egypt to blood.
