Teachers in Texas will be required to cover the Judeo-Christian influences of the nation's Founding Fathers, but not highlight the philosophical rationale for the separation of church and state. Curriculum standards also will describe the U.S. government as a “constitutional republic,” rather than “democratic,” and students will be required to study the decline in value of the U.S. dollar, including the abandonment of the gold standard

What's “far right” about that? Seems like normal American history/culture to me.
Can't say the same about the agenda of the far left loonies at the AP though.

Some board members failed Friday to restore “hip hop” music to the draft proposal's high school social studies standard on culture.

The board's seven social conservatives, joined by Geraldine “Tincy” Miller, R-Dallas, considered some of the hip hop lyrics offensive and voted to eliminate hip hop as an option for students to consider.
