Yes, I just posted what I did for the benefit of those freepers that believe one of the ways God punishes is by natural disasters.
Although God does make it clear that He does use natural disasters in carrying out His sovereign will in the universe and on this earth -- at the same time -- God says that not all natural disasters are the result of someone, in particular, doing something wrong.
It takes a bit of spiritual discernment to tell the difference and then it's not always easy to do.
In another sense, natural disasters, even when not directly aimed at anyone in particular for something that they (or a "group") did wrong -- they are a result of our "fallen and sinful world" -- and thus -- in that sense, they all are a result of God's judgment.
One could say that these earthquakes are a result of the time that God issued his judgment against mankind in the Garden of Eden for his sin. And that this judgment has been expanded and has carried through to the world-wide/global flood, which created great instability in the world and its surface and the atmosphere, resulting in many calamities and disasters. And these are not necessarily directed at any one particular group -- but are aimed at "all of mankind" in their sinful condition, as it is right now.
So, are you fully qualified to make these spiritual discernments?
...or...sometimes God is random.
