Wonder if they are paving the way for the House to proceed with Articles of Impeachment against any of the conservative justices. (I have to read up on the process of removing a Justice from SCOTUS. I know nothing about it—only speculating out of ignorance)

To be successful they need to get public opinion on their side. To get public opinion on their side they need to demonize one or all of the conservative members on the court.

Excellent post. Finding and demonizing a boogeyman is the oldest rat trick in the book. Newt’s gone, DeLay is gone, Rove is gone - - they failed miserably with Rush and Palin - - so now maybe it’s John Roberts? If so, they are more desperate than I thought.

Anyway, in Robert’s case it’s not about impeachment, it’s about the next Ubanga nominee.
